Not What i Expected From An Early Site

Snuck out after work yesterday to an old area that I wanted to check out. Located a couple of decent sized iron patches. Couldn't stay long so I headed back towards the truck. Had just started through the woods and got a screaming mid 90s on my T2. Figured it was a can as it was shallow. Was pretty surprised to see this class ring pop out. It does have a name inside so I'm psyched to hopefully have my first return. Had to look up PSS marking up as I'd never seen it before.

Very interesting Abe. That's a pretty sweet ring! Definitely a random drop. A similar thing happened to me earlier this year. Was hunting a farm field near a foundation and pulling up mid to later 1800s relics when out of nowhere I recovered a 1957 class ring in the field. I was able to track down the guy who lost it, which he said was not long after he first got it. He currently resides in Florida so I mailed him the ring. Good luck tracking down the owner.

Even though it's a recent lost isn't it strange how things work out. I bet that guy will be blown away seeing it again as I'm guessing it was in a place he really never imagined it would be found and returned.

Nice ring. I found a 10k ring at an old cellar hole. I thought it was 200 years old until I got home and Oxbowbarefoot noticed it was a class ring.
