Detector(s) used
Whites DFX, Ace 250 Big and Small coils, AT-Pro
So far this year the only finds have been large cents and coppers. The other day I had a few hours to kill so I went to an area that I saw on google earth that looked good. It appeared that the principle area had already been detected so I went to the outlying areas and found this large cent from 1820. Not much else. My detector started to fritz out on me, so I called it a day. When I came home I took the dectector apart and looked at the circuitry under a lens. I realized that there was dirt and moisture, so I cleaned it. Now it's running great! The penny cleaned up nice, the photo was after a wash but before cleaning, and then after cleaning. No silver yet...except for that worn out reale last month. Can't wait for spring.

Only large cents and coppers....too bad for you :D :D

Any one of those would be great here in Indy.

Nice finds kept it up.

Great going, I'm still waiting on my first one. Thanks for the pic's.

Coppers, LC's, and Reals...I'd take those anyday. Congrats on a nice coin recovery.

Beautiful large cent!! What cleaning method did you use after the "wash" that brought out the nice detail?
