Nothing Old But Something New

I stopped at a small town bank the other day. They let me purchase the halves out of the counter machine. There was a total of $11.50. All but 4 halves were 2005. Almost a full roll of 2005! Where the heck would these have come from? How do you get the newer halves? I know most people hold on to them, is there a market for them?

They were minted in very low volumes and not intended for general circulation. I, and others, keep them.

Keep em! May not be a market right now, but they may pay off someday for the ones that are in MS60 or better. Gpurs...
