Without seeing the video I cant say. I can say a lot of kids learn Muay Thai at a very early age in Thailand, they usually start training at 4-5 years old.

Muay Thai is Thailand's national sport and in their culture kids fighting at early age is normal and acceptable, just like kids here playing baseball.

When you grow up poor and from the slums, it is a path to a better life for many kids, and it helps their families.

In early fights they earn about $9-$10 a fight win or lose, once they are more experience older teenagers the purse is $40-$50, that is before they become professional as older teens, as amateurs their purse also increases with their reputation until they turn pro.

$10 USD is about $330 baht

That helps buy food for your family when you are poor.
Current prices...
Kilo rice is 43 baht
Doz eggs is 70 baht
Loaf bread is 45 baht
Liter of milk 60 baht.
Chicken Fillets (1 kg) is 101 baht

Total 319 baht...

Muay Thai is almost a religion for much of Thailand..an ancient fighting art they
created out of need, as they had no weapons.

In the MMA world, a solid background in Muay Thai goes a long ways, and
combined with some Brazilian JJ a fighter can go a long ways.

But no...kids should not be forced into fighting..it ain't for everyone, including me.

I agree they shouldn't be forced to fight, I was commenting it is their culture. When you grow up poor in 3rd world countries your paths out are limited.

Muay Thai is amazing fighting style, anyone who is trained in it is far more dangerous in MMA.
