My best friend is in a wheel chair and he doesn't like metal detecting at all. How long have you been handi-capable?
 
Hard rubber????? wouldn't have showed on a detector????
 
Found two 100 year old hard rubber combs while digging. finding them means your digging in the right spot...yes, non-metallic.
