Spent two days in OC. Much clad and a potentially gold earrings. I'm pretty certain the stones aren't real but who knows. It rang a mid tone on my fisher. Lots of MDers on the beach but still stuff to be found due to either the sloppy form or weaker detectors. Most of my quarters were pretty deep.

Sloppy forms.... I see them every day. Last night a guy was swinging a BH tracker IV a foot off the ground and that was the lowest point of his swing. I did not see him dig a single thing. Great job on the earring hope it turns out real.

Exactly what milk86 said. Swings like a pendulum. Even on the lowest point of the swing I saw some coils 12 inches off the ground. It's a good way to miss targets and I saw a lot of it going on.

Also, I'm usually anal about grids. Not all the time but I fear missing something. I took a pic of this mornings grid since my trails were visible in the sand. I'm a nerd.

Really nice find on the stud earing, any marks on it.:icon_thumleft:

No markings on it.. but funny story. Was at a store last night and the kid working the counter had the SAME exact earring in. My wife joked, "Did you lose an earring?" I saw the color leave him as he wasn't sure, but we said no no, you've got them both. I didn't want to ask if his were real... I'll take it to a jeweler to find out. After I cleaned it the stones look real nice.

Your finds get me stoked to go back and dig some more!.. Sweeping is an art... you got down pat my brother !!!! nice job.
