12 box skunk streak over the past 3 weeks.

4x40%'ers total, all from 1 box in early october.

4x40% from 16boxes of halves this month

I know how ya feel, being on a 10-box skunk streak for halves myself, it's not fun. Who supplies your halves? I think garda supplies mine.

Then I guess I shouldn't complain about my 2 half box & 1 half bag skunk streak. I don't have the perseverance a lot of you all do to search through all those half boxes for little or nothing. That would be just way too much disappointment and work for me.

Do you ever get any loose or cwr halves? That's how I find nearly all my half dollar finds.

My thoughts exactly. The payoff isn't as good as finding silver halves but it sure is a lot more fun than searchin' and dumping all those halves for nothing. Finding silver nickels is much more steady and predictable with long term averages. Half dollars are so hit and miss and seems to depend a lot on your location too - with boxes anyway.

I feel your pain friend. I have found 1 40% in 24 boxes searched in October. Gonna keep slugging away. Dimes are still producing great for me.

Thanks for the tips all, but I'm gonna stick with halves. I do like nickels, but I like silver more. Although I found no silver tthis month I must've found 10 cameos, one box had 3. I also found 2-3x1983p No FG errors, which is like finding a 40%.

Mostly Garda, 2-3 boxes of strings this month. Nothin from them.

Edit:I I do try cwr and loose searching, not much this month though.

Edit: I do search for cwr's but only a few times this month. In september I must've tried 50 seperate times with success with silver once. I'll ramp up the loose search for nove

We probably keep getting each others dumps. October by far was the worst month yet. And this is from banks which always had silver in boxes. I dont remember what a 90% half looks like anymore. Luckily dimes are still good, and easy to dump, so that occupies the time.

Certainly could be, I always dump at brinks and pickup from garda or strings, mostly garda... so I'm hopin you don't dump at a garda bank. I know I got a few of your marked coins.. so we prob go through eachother's dumps . Let's work together on this somehow... pm me and we'll try to not dump at eachother's pickup banks/distributors.

I agree with the dimes still producing silver. But my problem is every time I dump my dimes the bank always tells me I am short. It will very from 4 to 12 dimes each time I dump. Dose this happen to any body else....Matt

Sounds very plausible, dimes are so close to the size of pennies I bet that is common. I'd like to know also if people lose them often

This is how i dump dimes. I only dump coins at TD since its free.

I never dump dimes and halves at the same time. Sometimes i dump them straight into the counter after taking out the top. This way it ensures that the coins dont get stuck. I have never had any tellers tell me not to do it, and i have seen many people who dump coins regularly do the same exact thing.
After i dump the dimes, i dump at least $100 in halves. This ensures that they will have to open the machine for me. After they open the machine, i always have dimes or halves stuck in the reject tube which i can not always fully access from the outside, especially if the tellers did not install the bag correctly and it blocks the exit.

Since i have started doing i dont believe that i have been shorted. I dont count the dimes i dump before i go to the bank, so if i am short 1 or 2, i just assume that one of the rolls was short, as has happened before.

I never dump pennies and dimes together. I had an incident that my dimes were counted as pennies, and of course it was the one day i also decided to dump some pennies. I have not done that since.

And... RP all td;s near me use brinks, so there must be another crh'er dumping at garda banks , I didn't know apush was nearby, 1st one of her marked coins I've ever seen. And ty for marking a beat up coin.

11 40% and a 1974S clad. What i noticed is that there were no marked coins in the box at all... very strange.

Wow no marks is very odd, my last no mark box turned zero silver :P

I'm pickin up one box tonight and two tomorrow I'm psyched

Edit: I just saw my one supplier get a delivery from brinks :O I swore they used garda... I'm gonna have to cancel those boxes from now on .. I always dump brinks
