This has me puzzle as for use and age. I don't think it's particularly old, but, it was found in an area where some old stuff was found, so, who knows? It's hinged right above the head, and has provision for another hinged section at the feet. The top of the cross looks to be broken, so, not sure if there was another section above it of if it ended there. The figure looks to be holding a lion's head. No marks anywhere that I can see. Any help out there?

A door knocker maybe?

Could it be a Lion's head soccer team combination crucifix and bottle opener? 😁

Its a Greek smaltotex. (spelling maybe wrong)

‘Smaltotex’ was a maker-mark/brand for a Greek company that made all manner of enamelled bronze/brass-ware, much of which was sold principally as souvenirs during the 1970s. The word has since become a generic for similar decorative wares made by other companies. This is from a paper-clip/letter holder:

Not sure what the initials ‘N.A.’ stand for.
