Odd peice of tile ID

I found this accidentally detecting an area that had native american , fur trade , French and British comers and goers. It is just an odd item for a very remote spot with no houses, occupation , basically a millennia old trail.
It resembles just a clipped corner of a porcelain tile. Looking closer all edges are smooth and beveled. There's no evidence of fracture. It feels like a game peice when I hold it.
If it were just a corner popped off a square tile? It seems it would have much sharper edges.

Since you said it’s a millennial old trail, it definitely could be a broken piece of tile. Secondly, depending on how old it is, it could have been rolling in the dirt for years as people kick it while walking. Thus being ground smooth

If it received that much " foot grinding" by pedestrians the glaze would be gone or at least damaged i would guess thus .

That’s actually a very good point. Hm no clue then. Could be just smooth tile or something.

We all want our stuff to be old , dropped by a prince or touched by John Wayne or fell from space. Probably junk thanks Ace.
