Oddly buried Kennedy Half but I'll take it!

Just a quick beach hunt today. Went to my normal spot because it always gives me something, even if it is just fresh air and a view of the ocean. As I was going up and down the beach in rows, I noticed that there was an abnormal mound of sand about a foot from the incoming tide, so I was expecting to find a toy truck or something along those lines. My ATPro gave off a scream and a 91 reading and out popped this 1989 Kennedy half dollar. My first Kennedy half!

It's in great shape compared to the other clad coins I found today, and considering it was in a mound of dirt, it makes me think that for whatever reason, someone had just buried it there?

Either way, mine now! Also found some sort of costume jewelry. Just glass but neat none the less. Thanks for looking and happy hunting all!
