You got to love getting off work at noon!! It don't happen to often so I took advantage of it. My friend and I drove back to the camp site and hunted for a good while. The take for the day was 8 French buttons ,a nice Crucifix(not sure how old) ,three coins ,25 dropped musket balls and other odds and ends. Man ,I had fun but the time flew by. I am gonna hit a couple of fields tomarrow and try again. Thanks for looking and HH. :)

Cool finds!!!! Could you post a separat picture of the two lead seals please as I am really interested in these items? Thank you!

Nice day Birdman.

I love the old buttons. You guys found a really nice location.

Awesome hunt Bman! Those buttons are nice and relics as well. I have found several pieces of that style of cross you found, think I have a whole one too, also think they date to the mid 1800s. HH, Mike

Time flys when you're having fun and by the looks of those awesome finds you guys were having a blast. It's nice that you were able to have a little extra time to hunt.Keep up the great work on that camp site.I really like that old crucifix.Congrats on a great day out!

I see why your going to miss detecting over there. Excellent finds!!! Have you figured out how to get your finds(cannon balls) state side ? WTG!!! HH

Rvbvetter, you are right ,I will miss the detecting and the mass amounts of history here but I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to hunt here and touch some of the history of Europe. I am sure North Dakota will have some good hunting somewhere. I hope. :) The cannonballs and every thing is going in the box marked "pots and pans" . LOL ;)

must be nice to get off early like that, I think I'll call in and say I'm doing some research for nat'l geographic or something. Definetly not from the card table........... :D let me know what's happening this weekend. NICE STUFF!

the buttons are all from the 19th - early 20th C . I've got a plenty of them maybe one hundred found over the years . no idea about the cross but nice find find by the way ...

sounds like a great site . I noticed that most of your finds are from the early 20th C what about roman- medievale coins ? have you ever found older finds or are you interested in WWI - WWII artifacts only ?

love your finds ;)
