The only time I've used tobasco was to make 'hot&sweet pickles'.You get a gallon jar(Iguess it's a gal) of whole dill pickles(name brand).Pour off the liquid.Pour a whole bag of sugar in(ya gotta work at it) and then add 2oz of tobasco.Let the jar sit 7days,turning up and down every day.

I am not questioning the count,however,Noodle said we had to be checked in by 4pm on the 18th.So do we count the 18th as one more 'wait' day or what How is a travel day counted?

OK WSD the way I am counting is the actual HUNT day. So actually, unless we are really really really lucky (night hunt) the actual hunt is on the 19th so that means 18 days until the hunt! Does that make sense?

I would post 1 day left if it meant that the hunt would get here quicker!!!!!!

I would say ... ... the Hunt will start on Friday because I know ME and BB and others will be there in time to drop their MDs in the sweet rich dirt on the east side of the property as soon as they drive in! And the Friday night dinner is the official start of The Hunt.

I finally got some pics of some of the prizes from Olegoat and Ms. Olegoat. Aprons and pillowcases embroidered for the Hunt, and some Tennessee magazines that Olegoat is sharing with us on his home state. Please forgive the fuzziness of the pics. They're the best I could get with my croaky ole camera. I'm going to have to get another one, I'm afraid, before the hunt. It's on its last leg. I cannot seem to keep a digital camera very long. They have a short lifespan in my hands.

Also, I heard someone mention thorns earlier. I meant to warn ya'll. We have some locust trees with a few thorns on them. We've been burning as many as we can, but thought I'd warn you so you can wear some hard-soled shoes if you have 'em. Here's a shot of some with my shoe as comparison, but since you didn't know how big/little my shoe is, there's also a shot with a normal sized egg carton. Again, blurry.

These questions are in the Winter '08 issue of Louisiana Life Magazine...The Great Louisiana Quiz, based on LA cities. Heck, some of the questions I couldn't even answer.
