Never seen Luzianne around here....guess that is the way with some things. I had a friend that sent me some cajun seasonings once...LOVED them!!!! Never did find them around here! :( David's daughter Dana cannot buy Malt o Meal hot cereal where she lives....we end up shipping it to her....that stuff is heavy! lol I guess some things are just kinda regional! I am sure if someone wins the Luzianne tea that does not live in the area they are going to be very thankful you took the time to go cash those in already! Thanks RR!! :-*
This will get you started, change the salt and pepper to your liking:

Cajun Seasoning
* 2 1/2 tablespoons paprika
* 2 tablespoons salt
* 2 tablespoons garlic powder
* 1 tablespoon onion powder
* 1 tablespoon black pepper
* 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
* 1 tablespoon dried leaf oregano
* 1 tablespoon dried leaf thyme

Combine all ingredients thoroughly and store in an airtight container. Makes about 2/3 cup

:o You are the best!! Thank you!
Let me know if you like it. I have more simple mixes if you would like, however i like this one with a little less salt in the mix. It is also good as a rub on steaks, roast, chicken, and fish. If you really want to do it right, after the rub, drop the meat in to a really hot cast iron skillet and make your self some cajun blacked (Type of meat being cooked). WARNING! DISABLE ANY SMOKE DETECTORS IN THE AREA... remember to turn them back on after cooking. LOL

I set off a smoke detector in an a apartment first time I tried to do this. I could not disable the detectors I had to open all windows and doors to cook it again. Best of luck and good eating.

Somebody needs to donate a trailer and the person with the most prizes when it's over, gets the trailer to haul them home with!!! ;D

Once again, thanks to the people that donated today. It's getting overwhelming!!! :icon_profileleft:

Forewarning those staying at Days Inn, here's a pic of Evy's mug 1st thing of a morning before coffee.
