Well, I mentioned it a while back. I predicted that oil would drop to the $30's a bbl. Most likely the bottom would be $36 a bbl.
It has just crossed into 30 land. Frank

Guess that means that they must have hopes of conquering syria.:laughing7:

Should. But there will be excuses of exploration, reduced demand driving up costs by scale or increased storage costs so they won't.

That you did Frank, that you did.
Now they are dropping the gas prices just in time to raise the heating oil prices.
They are probably making sure we don't develop the oil fracking here and become an import oil free country.

Taking them long enough to change the prices at the pumps though!!!!! Plenty of nice weather left and we have places to go and things to dig!!:laughing7:

They only rush to change when the price goes up.

fear of loosing a Penny Trumps pride in giving someone a break.

I hate this!!! The last time oil prices were this low gas was only 99 cents a gallon. It has really hurt my oil royalty checks too.

gas here for .99 would be nice.

but I believe we have close to .99 in taxes and profits to the station in every gallon that goes out.

I'd Guess $1.99 is going to be a Hard Road to reach in PA.

I'm not sure I'll get a chance to take advantage of this drop.

Rising already :(

Gasoline in California will never see gasoline priced at less than a dollar (or anywhere new that) as long as the combined state and federal tax per gallon remains at 60.7 cents per gallon. More likely our governor will seek a raise in the gas tax.
Don......

Let's see ... Oil at $150.00 bbl, Gas $4.00/gal

and today ... Oil at $40.00 bbl, Gas $2.30/gal

Does anyone else have a problem with their math???

Yes , should be about $1.30 a gallon.
seems to me Big Oil is better off with the Low Oil prices
or at least the gas producers are.

C'mon up to NY - where there's 51¢+ of State excise & use taxes added to every gallon.

Gas in NorCal is at $3.36 plus or minus...

Hope Govenor Moonbeam is occupied by fixing the water shortage issue...

Hate to tell you folk but,its just a big stinking pile of B.S. right along with all the other garbage that youre handed on a daily basis.

Yup they raise the prices and then brag about making record earnings:laughing9:

1. Pennsylvania

> Tax as pct. of gas price: 21.3% (the highest)

> State fuel tax: 50.5 cents per gallon (the highest)

> Gas price: $2.38 (7th highest)

Pennsylvania has the nation's highest fuel taxes, at 50.5 cents per gallon. This is due to the state's relatively new gas tax, passed in 2013. The new tax is charged on fuel transactions and is based on the wholesale price of gas — although the reference price used is locked in for roughly another two years and then becomes subject to an even higher minimum. The tax is designed to raise money for construction and necessary repairs for bridges and roads throughout the state.

States with the highest (and lowest) gas taxes,

and they want it higher

Yep, the price of #2 fuel oil for heating rose from a buck a gallon to four bucks a gallon. And now the price of oil is below the cost then, but #2 has dropped only to three bucks a gallon.

Heaven forbid senior citizens would be able to stay warm during the Winter.
