OJs property not metal detected?

I was a sickly kid when I was young but I had two heros. OJ was one of them because he beat polio. After having lived in California for 10 years I dont believe a thing that comes out of the media there. You should not either. I suspect a lot of people had a hand in that murder. The knife thing is just instant stardom is all. Fifteen minutes of fame. She is gone and is missed.

To be sure OJ was a great player, but the circumstances of that double killing....a knife, near capitation...suggests anger and rage, strength too. Not ex-military, not a trained killer, they're not so sloppy. I remember that photo of Nicloe's face...all beat up. Stats show that women who are physically abused by their partner are 4 times as likely to be eventually killed by them.

In 35 yrs of detecting, I've probably found about a dozen knives, most good quality. The best being a cold steel SRK, a top notch, beautiful knife. Since it was made of carbon steel it was rusted, but I managed to get it back to great shape with only minor pitting.
A great tool to restore knives is a rust and mar remover called the rust eraser...it's a rubbery eraser type thing that really works, i've brought rusty blades back to a shine with a little elbow grease.

"Multiple sources say the knife found on O.J. Simpson’s property is likely not related to the 1994 murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman.

NBC News reported Thursday that multiple law enforcement sources said the characteristics and condition of the knife do not match the weapon used in the sensational murders that captivated the country for years. It also did not appear to have been buried long enough to be on the property at the time of the murders.

On Saturday, the L.A. Times cited sources reporting similar findings.

Former LAPD detective Mark Fuhrman, who was involved in the Simpson case, has also weighed in, saying it should be simple to determine if the knife was involved in the slayings.

“It can only be a certain width, length and thickness, or it simply isn’t the weapon,” he told Fox News. “The autopsy results, especially on Ron Goldman, were very specific.”

..the discovery could impact how long he remains incarcerated. He’s serving nine to 33 years in a prison an hour outside of Reno and is eligible for parole next year. The parole board could take into account “any evidence that bears on whether the release of the petitioning inmate could constitute a danger to the public,” a spokeswoman from Nevada’s attorney general’s office told Yahoo News."
Knife found on O.J. Simpson?s property ?inconsistent? with murders: Reports

I think in every case where there's a homicide and a missing murder weapon, the chief suspect's property should be hunted with metal detectors, by experienced hobbyists.
