Not surprised here. It's tough to get these guys to order. I had to give out some more gifts to the order folks because it's Christmas week. They don't have much room in these banks so I'm limited to how many I can get from one bank. I had another bank that I ordered at too for 2 boxes and they forgot. Real tough to get any results here. I really wanted to up the volume a bit but I'm worn out going through and dumping. Don't know how much longer I can take of this volume thing. Bank C is a different supplier but I don't expect much. I'll update the last box when I get to it tomorrow. I'm worn out and have better things to do now. LOL..

I really hope that I'm wrong but it seems to show that volume only depends on the area. So far, upping the volume in an area doesn't mean better results. I have a 8 skunk straight going and my record is 13. Let's see if I can break it.

I am stunned by the last box 10. I expected a skunk and pulled a 90%er and a 1900-S Barber in VF condition. The 90%er is the only 1964 I found all month.

Guess that's how it is in this area, bunch of skunks and you get rewarded by a box to make up for some of them. I'm going to see what this volume thing can do. That is the second Barber half that I've ever gotten. It matches a 1900-S dime Barber I found earlier in the year. This last box also had a ton of my own dumped marked coins in them. Marked as late as last month. It's strange but the marked coins were a mix and not all one month.

Yeah, don't get me wrong. It used to be better even a few years ago. Statistically, it has been getting worse and worse. Too many searchers in the area? I don't know how to explain the drop off.

I want to ask banks for CWR's but part of me just thinks they know what I do because I pick up and dump halves all the time. Some know what I'm looking for so I don't ask for CWR's anymore but I probably should step that up.

The spike up to $50 really cleaned out the boxes. We need a year of low, stable, prices like we have now in order for the excitment of CRH to fade back....and for people to start cashing in their "useless" half dollars again...

im on a 10 or so box skunk as well maybe 1 40%er in there. its starting to be a hassel for me at bank as well...for my return...get 2 boxes today will post later...im in pittsburgh area and brinks is my banks supplier.times are tough..........i see others on this site that are sweet thou....good boxes....so im hanging......

I think volume does make a difference. As I have seen the silver comes in waves...

If you are in a clad spell, having high volume gets your through those boxes much faster... You pull all those clad boxes out of the way to hit the silver. Once you do, lets say there are 100 boxes in the silver spell that have silver... if you are getting 1 / week. Person A is getting 1/week. C 2/week. D 3/week E 3/week.... Thats 10 boxes, and that will take 10 weeks to get through the silver boxes... But lets say I come along, and get 20 boxes week. I will swoop up all that silver so fast! If you hit a vein of silver you get to it before someone else can and before person D ends up getting 3 times what you do... Yes, volume sucks when you have a lot of clad but I like to think that I am pulling the clad out of the system waiting to hit the silver boxes.. That keeps me going.

I guess I can count myself lucky. I bought a $100.00 worth of halves this morning from my local bank that just came in. They where all taped on the ends so I figured some ones dump. In my last roll I found a 1968 maybe head back for the $200.00 more that's there and take a chance.

Yeah, it's awesome the Niners and what they're doing. In all those years where they were terrible, I started becoming a Baltimore Ravens fans because of their defense. I like watching defense, I get tired of watching Brady and Brees throw all those touchdowns. I think it's more noteworthy if a team can win a championship with defense.

Thanks .. it's actually EF condition. I went through the internet and looked at PCGS graded Barbers in VF-20 and this one is EF. Has a lot of details in the hair. Slight scratch on the cheek probably due to being mixed with those other halves at the sorting facility. This coin must've been in someone's collection. Now it's found a new home. I'm really in shock. I lost $150 doing the stock market today and gained it back with this coin. Guess that's a Christmas gift from God or CRHing Gods? Although I would prefer to have a gift of being good at stock trading. LOL

Trying not to get discouraged. Perhaps we will see the "fruit of our labor" soon when the halves are being dumped for the holidays.
