🥇 Banner finds

Detector(s) used
Minelab Equinox 600, Garrett AT Pro, Pro Pointer
Primary Interest:
Relic Hunting
All three were found in the same field as the King George II halfpenny I found yesterday. I know that doesn't mean much (especially since 30 feet behind the George II I found a 1938 wheat penny lol) but it's that same general area, that has been set aside to preserve the meetinghouse and burial ground that's there.

Lipstick... Hmmm... Did you open it yet? My Dad was a Boy Scout... I think... Found some pictures of similar match safes... mainly used in 40's... Before lighters... Although some of the WW2 ones had compasses build into the lids ...

I did not open it. I am actually debating whether or not to bother, because I was thinking of making a small shadowbox display of all my finds from this field this year and presenting it to either Rosenberger's Dairy (owners) or the local history society. One or the other, not really sure yet which.

If you're making a display of all your finds from this area, then opening the tube would ID it so you can label it or at least let the new owners know what it is. I've found the easiest way to open these old tubes is to spray it at the seam with WD-40, then put it in a vice (be sure to pad it), then use pliers (padded again) to the other end.
