Are you going to take them to the bank and ask for the silver?

Funny thing, not long ago a lady next to me tried to spend one at McDonalds and the cashier would not accept it.
I will save mine. I save everything that I find.

A lot of bank tellers would just give you a "silver" dollar for one- most likely a Susan B! Had a friend that did just that- had a 1950's silver cert, got a Susie for it at the bank. Goober.

Big Cy, congrats on the old S.C's. A lot of old desks (especially roll tops) had a hidden compartment. You might check closely.

Just remembered a story....Old guy lives out in the country by my mom....lived there as long as I can remember...little house ...little garden...didnt drive...no children. His wife died in the seventies and the county had to bury her because they didnt have any money. In the early 90's he passed away too. County also paid for his funeral. A friend of mine was clearing out the house after the death. Went to move a small desk ,pulled a drawer all the way out and there was a secret compartment. Over twenty thousand dollars in tens and twenties.....
