I found this old belt buckle or harness buckle in my backyard. There is alot of history on my land. This looks in no way new. I am hoping at least the 30's. All parts are still attached. Any idea?

Horse tack related no older than 1930s.
 
Got a "billion" of them. Now I just toss 'em.
 
Still a nice find if you don't have any, you can clean it
up and add it to your collection.
 
But horse tacks are round, this is a perfect square.
