old black powder pistol found wednesday

went to ne missouri with some friends of mine we belong to the nw missouri prospectors and meta detectors club in st joseph missouri.6 of us were out md and i think we dug enough cars parts to buiod another motor and one of found a 1960 rosie, the best find was by our local guide fernando aka he found this a few hours before we got there just across the street from where we were digging at not for sure of the make and model i belive it is a 32 caliber looks as if some of the chambers were still hot

That is a very cool find , you might check the stories of that area and in the time the weapon was newer and see if it was used for anything like a crime or holdup of a Bank . That would be a nice story . Also you may be able to find some numbers on that gun.
But it looks very rusted .

thanks for the comments and research i will let the old boy know about it and have him check for the numbers. sorry have been busy with scouts the last 3-4 days son went from wolf to bear cubscouts and we have a officer changes a little cleaning to do after they left this past saturday was our blue and gold banquet for pack 16 of nw missouri
