Old Bracelet from the Comstock

Went in search of a new spot to hunt near Virginia City. I found a very promising looking spot, but between the modern bullets everywhere and the incredible amount of nails, I was having a rough go of it. Not many good target signals, but I managed to find an old bracelet.

Cleaned up a bit:

This guy was following me around the whole time. He acted like he wasn't paying any attention to me, but everywhere I went he was there when I'd look up.

The horse is interesting. Do you think it might have got loose from someone's ranch or home & they might be wondering about where he/she is? I helped to find a stray horse one time. The horse was curious about my presence, but wouldn't let me get too close. Was leery of me, but allowed the owners to approach & take him/her back home.
p.s. Nice find on the bracelet & nice horse picture ! Congrats!

Nevada is full of wild horses, they're everywhere, donkeys too. The horses are descendants of unwanted domestic stock that people got tired of feeding and paying for upkeep.
The donkeys are descendants from when the miners turned them loose when they were done with them 100+ years ago.

Personally I would have one if we didn't have so much on the plate.

Yeah, they're real characters! Unlike the horses, the wild donkeys will come to you, take food from your hand and even let you pet them.
They are also very playful.
