Old brass compact found

Here is one of my finds from this past weekend . At the time I was not sure what I had . After a good cleaning it is a late 1940's Tangee rouge compact . Here are before and after pictures and what a very good condition one looks like . When I found it I was hoping for some silver inside , no luck

I found a couple old compacts and one still had make up in it and the wife dropped it the make up disintegrated into powder.
