Old Cabin....... Gun Found

[minton7]

I have been searching all week for the owner of this old house/cabin out in the middle of no where..... I finally tracked him down and he was ok with me hunting there........ The cabin is about 10 by 24 and has an old cellar made of rocks in the hillside that has collapsed... and is totally in the woods... over grown and the works.... I hunted yesterday for a little bit and hit this really cool Stallion Cap Gun.. it is is really good shape I think..... intact except the handle grip..... any ideas how old it is >? Gunna go back n hunt when it dries up here in ohio...

Looks like it might be a Nichols Stallion 22, made in 1957. Check out the link:

Love those old guns....nice find..
when it dries up?
I have been waiting on it to rain ...its so dry up here in central ohio the ground is like rock...
Will be hitting some farm fields now that crops are off....

Outstanding find!

HH What a great find. So it's a cap gun, not a 22 pistol, right?

By the way, the ground is always hard out my way. We hardcore hunters use prospecting picks and matox picks and stay away from ripping up the turf in parks.

yes it is a cap gun... was pumped when I pulled it out though,,, thought it was a real one LOL and to answer another post... ill get pix when I get some film.. I busted my digital camera a few weeks back.. left it on top of the van n drove home from a great hunt... wife bout killed me LOL
