Old cameo jewelry piece found in the UK

A friend of mine just brought this up. We think it's part of a ring but we're not entirely sure.

Of course he wants to know it's value but I don't even have a clue. Any ideas?

It's a Georgian Watch Fob Seal...the framed loop has gone, but still a nice find.
