I am posting a few pictures of my finds in a plowed field, about 25 miles from my home, that was a county fairgrounds until 1957 but is, now, a farm field. Obviously, any coin over one cent denomination is SILVER and the newest cents are in the 50's. I have hunted this field for years and, always, find silver, there. Each time it is plowed or worked up it churns up more coins. I'm anxious for the spring thaw so I can get back there. Fortunately, I'm the only person the owner will let hunt it.

That is one sweet field. Where abouts it at.......ha ha. That field will be fun for years.

Man that is awesome - I gave it 5 stars!!!

I can-not blame the owner one bit for just letting you hunt. Because he would have everyone
and their cats, and dogs on his property hunting. Years ago I found a really hot spot that was
giving up seated, and gold coins. I told a friend about it, he told his friend about it
the next thing I know there's M.Detectors everywhere on the site. When word gets out it's over.
Your very lucky to have a great spot as you do. Keep us posted on more of your great finds.

Sweet! You're fortunate in that you're the only one allowed to hunt it. Keep on swingin'.

Wow, you got a hot spot there, alot of nice silver coming out of that area!

Great finds, I have a farm that belonged to a prominent Mormon in 1860 & have permission to hunt it. Like you the owner does not want any one else there so I have it to myself. Unlike you I have spent about 20+ hours there & have not found one coin. I do find old relics and have found a few silver items like spoons and a watch case that was made in 1790. I still hope to to find a old coin there, I know it will happen but it gets tiring after so many hours. Keep swinging that coil and good luck.

Gotta love those old fairgrounds. I have one I hunt and have found about 200 silver coins there. BUT like all good things the silver is drying up quick. Congrats on the awesome site. GOTTA love dat silva

fairgrounds are the best odds, pity mine is built over :(

That's fantastic. It looks like you were the first one there, too.

I have permission to hunt our old fairgrounds....but unfortunately it's been hunted quite a bit. I heard stories of gold coins. I've found a seated dime and an indian so far. Too many acres to cover alone.

I have family that lives Upstate, NY a few min from a fairground. I was thinking about hunting there but the last time I was there for an even there were hundreds of beer cans and pop tops all over! I bet you dug a lot of garbage before you found those coins, but it looks like it payed off. Next time I go up there I'll add that to my list of places to hit. ;D ;D
