Today Fossis and I hit an old Forestry Service place, a home that has since been remodeled to a residence. Heading out on a cool morning with the metal detectors, we spent a few hours flipping coins out of the ground, and a few other things. Out of all the places we've detected together, this was one of the least trashiest places. A real treat.
Fossis grabbed a Smokey the Bear token, and I got a Forestry service pin. We also dug a button, two wheats ('44 & '58), a nickel, 4 dimes and a slew of memorial cents.
Along the way we did a little coin roll hunting as well, a fun day out for a couple guys with cabin fever.
Getting to be that time of year around here, and more plans to head out soon.
