Old Friend...New Friend

After too much deliberation, I finally purchased a new detector, the XP Deus. Don't get me wrong, I love my AT Pro, but decided that it was time to add a new weapon to my arsenal. Started my day with my old love. She seldom ever lets me down and today was no exception. Found the 1952 Franklin Half on a wooded hillside next to a small pond. Gave off a beautiful 89-90 VDI.



Later in the day, I took the XP Deus for its maiden voyage. Quite a different experience from the other detector, but I found it to be very user friendly. Started with the pre-set " Basic" program. I wasn't expecting to find much, but after about an hour, I managed a 1917 Merc, and an 1889 IHP. Not a bad way to start a new relationship!



The local wildlife seemed to agree! Thanks for taking a look. HH>

Congrats on scoring with the Deus, right out of the box. I went from ATP to Deus 3.5 years ago. You’re going to love it.

Nice job on the coins. The AT Pro is a good, proven machine. BTW that deer is fuzzy, for sure! Kinda cool. If you get into a trashy area, go to the Deus Fast mode. It works wonders in trash.

Pepperj- Yes, both the Merc and the IHP came from spots I had hit pretty thoroughly with the AT Pro. I'm hoping that the XP Deus will be able to sniff out a lot of other goodies I've missed with the Garrett. Stay tuned for future updates.
