I believe the iron piece is an old gun part, but I’m not sure what the M&M Metal plate is. I know it’s not “old” but it was just interesting to me, and I liked the style of the lettering on it!:laughing7: lol any ideas on what it may have come on? I’m guessing it was a tag on something. Can’t remember where it was dug at! Also any ideas on the gun part? It was dug where the battle of franklin took place during the civil war! :icon_thumleft: thanks!! I was thinking it looked very similar to the frizzen on a flintlock pistol! 5370EDF9-8217-415C-8C47-B1DD2A82444A.jpeg also sorry it’s in very cruddy shape!! I need to get some of the rust off! We’ve found a bunch of other civil war gun parts near by in a trash pit we stumbled upon where the battle of franklin took place!

I laid the new piece we found and pieced it together with 2 other gun parts we found previously. I really believe that is the frizzen! It almost fits perfectly! We have even more gun plates and parts that were all found in the same trash pit! A5BF9C0E-3FF1-4987-B2CB-AE6F83D3D668.jpeg
