So I found some graves in a woods. I decided to take the metal detector and look around for a homesite close by. I didn't have much time and didn't cover much ground but I found alot of nails and these. I think one goes to a lantern?? The oval one I have no clue. Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Love the lantern parts. Cool find!

Looks promising...my guess would be to keep at it and see what else pops up...

I went back again today. I think [emoji848] found a trash pile. Alot of glass and iron. Anybody know a date on these? I'm just curious. Thanks IMG_20210107_152411.webpIMG_20210107_151247.webpIMG_20210107_151322.webpIMG_20210107_141927.webp

Can we have some cleaned up picks of these? Might make it easier to ID them. The glass and potter, I mean

If you can see the mold seem on the bottle it will help date it within a decade or so. Stuff kind of looks from dumps that I have dug 1885-1910, though the pottery looks like is older.

All the bottles I'm finding have a seem.

Very nice ,,take your time here and I’m confident you will be successful

LOOKS like ur off to a go start finding some valuable goods

Anyone know what this pattern is called? The seams on the bottles so far go up to almost the lip of the bottles. IMG_20210108_094904.webp

Definitely in a good spot.
What type of metal detector do you have?
You might be able to adjust it to make your hunts less overwhelming.

I adjusted it to not ring on iron but it still does on big stuff like the saw blades and railroad spikes. I just think I'm digging in a old dump site but I know there was a house somewhere close by.

Big iron is difficult, I guess it’s just part of the fun!
