I made a similar commnet on a old cabin before BUT to recant my post, Our family had a similar situation that our family had on our own familys log cabin in Overland Mo. I have newspaper clipping from 1966 when our family sold our Great great grandfather's cabin and it was disassembled peice by peice and labled and moved to St. Charles , Mo. but never reassembled and in turn it was bought by the Overland Mo. Historical Society , moved there and reassembled in their historical park for all to see (inwhich we did) every year they have a Christmass event and my wife and I went and enjoyed it emensly ! I obviously had my own special reasons ,and WOW I had agood time ! They even had Absolum Links personal bible that hadnames dates of births and deaths that used to belong to me BUT some who ended up there ! It's real nice to share things and history! NOW everyone can share /see these that are personal to our family and enjoy ! In a family meeting , I voted to buy back the cabin and use it for holiday family gatherings, BUT it didn;t happen sorry to say ! If your in the area of North St. Louis County (Overland ,Mo.) go see it and enjoy ! I know I'll have a special place in my heart for it always .
