Old Iron Axe

Hi all ..
i only had 1 hour yesteday to go hunt for old fun stuff... i had to go even tho .. had to try out my new MetalDetector.. Finaly i got one ..

After just 10 minutes os seaching the ground in a nerby Forest the needel flew to the left telling me that something was there.. i startet to dig alittle and about 2 inch down i was not sure if there was something .. so i tried again with the detector and the needel still stayed to the left.. i was digging some more and about 4 inch extra down .. giving me a total of 6 inch down i found this wierd looking piece of metal.. it took it up and got the worst dirth of it and was pretty excitet,, it was the head from an very old Metal axe... how old i still dont know .. but i am going to the Danish history museum today to find out...

Right on the money m8...

after visiting the museum and talket to the brains.. i was told this is not an axe head this is a very nice Farming instrument... probely pulled by horses ... ther guess on the age was about 150-200 years old .. not much but in my rookie eyes very good...

i will keep digging and hope to find more..
