I wouldn't trust a phone app. to do a ID of a stone.
Being brass more than likely it would not be a ruby. Garnet a possibility, but I would say glass.
This is only an observation on the photos, as they aren't really clear on the blow up.
The stone looks worn, dull appearance.
Maybe a clear close up will show it off better.
