does any one know where i can find maps of the old road and trails used by the spanish and otheres used to travel the state.

You may try finding a scarce map titled, "Pioneer Map of New Mexico" by Perry C. Van Arsdale, copyrighted, 1969. This has been out of circulation for quite a long time. The size is approx. 36" x 54". The author drew and written every entry by hand.

You may search on the internet to see if antique book dealers or map collectors have one to sell.

I have Colorado and New Mexico. These are well worth the money.

I would suggest any old maps that showed the locations of springs. People traveled routes where they could get water.
