Old roadbed finds

Me and my digging partner found these a day or so ago, haven't had a chance to post. Our finds are a 1902 v nickel, toy lead teacup, shotgun slug, silver botton, and unknown iron piece. My guess for the unknown iron object is a boot tread or cleat.

Thats awesome. My 6 year old is telling me he wants a big metal detector. Sometime in the near future i'll be buying a machine.

She's only 2 but she keeps up pretty well, as the evening goes on i end up carrying her in one arm and swinging with the other. This was taking during one of daddy breaks.

Hmmmm, it has sharp points. I'm thinking it;s an ice cleat.
