I just find it hard to believe that Bill-D.(VA) here on TreasureNet "digs lot of these type artifacts."
Why would it be so hard to believe, that the Romans did make it to the Americas.

It also seems to me there would be more than a few isolated coin finds. Where are the camps and settlements? Maybe Bill in Virgina has uncovered one?I don't think its impossible & as you say, an accident is a more likely scenario, as we know they loved to document everything. Therefore. if it were deliberate, someone would have found some writing about it by now. A return trip of that magnitude (waiting for the change in prevailing winds) would have been celebrated at the highest levels.

Maybe Im wrong guys. I just sent a PM to Bill and I asked him if hes finding Roman artifacts in Virginia.![]()
