Went down to the old school yard today for a couple hour hunt this afternoon. I look mostly or the deep targets and odd ball numbers because there are so many targets there. I always dig a ton of clad there, but I know this is old dirt because I have dug a few 1800's relics and coins there plus a lot of modern silver coins and a few silver rings.
Today I went down there with my new NOX 800 that Minelab sent me because my old one the screen went dead after having it for only three or four months.
After a lot of clad I hit the silver toe ring. Rang up at 16 in park 2. Then started getting some wheaties and then hit the silver Merc. Then found the cool little brass bird pin, was down around 9 in. Next hit the bling ring which I thought was silver when I first saw it.
Moved over to a new spot a few yards away and started hitting some wheaties, so I knew there had to be silver around. I then hit the 1800's flat button down around 9 in.
I was almost ready to call it quits when I hit a steady 19 that was not to deep. Almost pass it by but the number and signal was steady. Boy I'm glad I did. Out pops a nice silver bracelet.
