old septic tank?

So this is a lot has a well and found a septic tank and a foundation.....
Anybody ever been in a septic tank and found anything?

This would be around 1930 and before easy dig 7 inches down.

Anybody want to help?

I did once.... all i found what a bunch of crap

yeah not to many things in the yard worth value 1930's penny and tons of old oil cans

found a ho blade and half a pocket watch some lead and steel and a couple more pennies

Before they were so closely regulated, septics often had a trap in them between the plumbing and the tank that was intended for recovering lost items before they got into the tank, where they were more likely to be lost during the periodic cleanings…..

Would the trap be near the tank or in the house? Might be worth a dig it is only a few inches from the surface see if I can locate anything
