I got this anchor at a garage sale a couple years ago. I don't know much about it. The markings say "SF" and "5-43". Any help is greatly appreciated.

Ship anchor will be as big as man. Picture is more like a fishing boat or ski boat anchor.

Welcome!

How many tons is it?

Do you have a picture with someone standing beside it?

It's called a "Navy" style anchor and a 20 lb one would do for a boat up to 24 ft as a "lunch hook" but in other than sand or mud they are out of favor for overnights or rough conditions. Ships use them because they tend not to foul - but they use big arse versions that hold on the weight of the anchor and chain mostly.
