Hi,

I have an old vase that was give to me. I am not sure what it is or how much it is worth. If anyone has any idea it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.

Regards,
Tim

You need to look for a maker's mark or stamp on it and post a detailed picture of it. Without that, it's just a vase made into a lamp. :dontknow:

WOW!! It appears to be Nippon Moriage because of the slip glaze. Are those fish swimming thru sea grass? The design is stunning! It looks like it could be from the early 1900's. It could have a makers mark on the bottom but you would have to take it apart & that could be risky. As Moriage can get pretty pricey I would very carefully take it to an appraiser. The workmanship on this looks to be above average. Good find! (I 'm drooling.....)

I've looked at this several times. Not sure I want to go the Nippon direction with it.
