Oldest coin yet today and found another silver dime!

[nathan104]

Found my first silver merc a couple days ago and today I went back to the same spot. Its across from an old church where a schoolhouse ussed to be. Next big oak over from where I found the merc, I pulled out a silver rosie dime at 6 inches! Kept at it for another two hours and after digging a couple iron relics and a bunch of pop tops and cans, I hit a good penny signal and popped out a green penny. I was SO hoping it was an indian, but it was a 1919 wheat penny. My oldest coin to date! Hopefully I break that date soon.

Got permission to hunt a pre civil war house site and barn. Will be hitting those either this week or next weekend. Cant wait!

Congrats on your oldest coin, and the silver. Keep at it, and you'll be popping out an 1800's coin in no time.
I'm still learning my new AT Pro. Love it so far.
