Was having a lackluster couple of hours today hunting an older school (lots of clad and canslaw). I noticed behind the school it sloped down into a creek bed with some erosion. Figured what the heck, I would try that area thinking some targets might have washed down there over the years.

Was not expecting to see an arrowhead. I always wanted to find one! A friend thinks it dates back into the 1500-2000 years ago range.

Oddly, it started pouring rain right as I found it and had to get to the car. I plan to go back there and scour for more.

Kevin

A very nice point.

Texas is in the The Central States Archaeological Societies, check them out for information and a collecting society of Indian relics. As is Oklahoma since your in north Texas.

There are many relic shows in your part of the country.

Great find!

I'd love to find a point like that some day!
I'm always looking down when I detect, but all I seem to find is my feet! :laughing7:
