I've pulled a lot of iron junk out of the dirt, but this piece seems special. Is it junk or does it catch anyone's eye? Thanks for any input.

It has something to do with railways, I have found similar along old Cripple Creek rail lines that serviced the mines. I think it was a washer used to bolt round timbers together.
