That's a neat find! If there are grooves on the inside of the barrel that are slightly spiraled, that will confirm that it's real.

Maybe neither. "Omega" manufactures sports timing equipment. My guess is that it is a starter pistol.

Possibly one of the EM-GE "Omega" pistols made by the Gerstenberger & Eberwein Co., c. 1960's.

What are some more details? You found it behind a store. Were you digging? What led you to the back of the store? Metal detecting? Privy digging? Dumpster diving? Just curious.
