since moving from san jose 7 months ago.....i am learning to find the thirt stores...etc herein porterville ca...so i go to this local flea marketand see thi one guy has a bunch of old spoons and silverware...si i see these 3 big spoons,and engraved on them its says steamship c,e. hillman...ce hillman was a southern "civilian steamship" which had 1000 lbs of powder and a boatload of lead.....it was captured by the north in 1861....what a find!!! 20190615_130204.webp20190615_130204.webp

I found a 25 cent off token from a local streamer outside New Orleans that was only running 7 years until it sank in 1906. I also found 1 out of 2 sets of negatives that I bought had just had developed on a cd so now all I have to do is have them put in picture form and then displayed. It’s amazing how one find can have you learn some much about something and then next thing you know you’re $60 in trying to make a shrine lol
