Awesome hunt! I'm curious ; what did the ring, ring up as? Was it jumpy or solid?

It rang up between pop tab and nickel. It was solid enough to get me to dig it.
Sometimes if I get a hit that rings up iron, tab, nickel, back to iron and so forth, I pass it by but if it hits between tab and nickel (48 on a Fisher) I will dig it.
This is how my Gold wedding band I found rang up a few weeks ago.

Does the moderators need to see a picture of the return to get an honorable mention?
This is my first and I do not know if there is a protocol.

UPDATE:
I connected with the owner of the ring and he was BEYOND excited.
He said he lost the ring 9 years ago and was just sick about it.
He dropped 100lbs right after high school so things were literally dropping off of him lol including this ring.
He just could not believe my honestly. He had thought someone found it and pawned the stone and or ring.
I explained to him that a detectorist's most prized moment is a return of something valuable or sentimental. It compares to the individual receiving the lost item that hasn't seen its owner for so long.
He moved out of the area and is a distance away so I shipped it to him and he should have it in 2 days. All I asked him for was a follow up on his receiving the ring.
This was my first ring return and it is truly an amazing feeling.
I hope to get to experience this feeling again.

I have also nominated. Get him to text you a picture like Casper says. That would be a decent replacement trophy of the ring.
