I got out with the E-Trac and the X5 yesterday to an iron infested farm. My buddy was using his new AT Pro and he was getting frustrated. The stock coil was just too big to pick out anything....

I found 5 coins, he found zero. I felt bad, really... You know what he'll be buying soon! hahaaa

Anyway, one of the highlights was a North American trade token from "1781". In quotations because they were back dated. Rick, you found one of these before, I know it!

1815 Halpenny Token with ship

A couple more coppers (1861 N.B./1902 Canada) and a 20's nickel

I do think it takes some getting used to when it comes to learning to hunt in the trash. First time I did it I wanted to smash my T2 into 800 pieces :-) glad I didn't

I don't believe for a second the detector was the problem.

Many possible reasons but the stock coil on an AT pro is not one of them.... especially if he could hear the ones you found!
