One man's trash...

Went by a gas station I worked at in high school and saw an old friend. I told him I have been hunting coins and he showed me what he had pulled out of the register recently when an old woman came in for gas. He showed me a can full of wheats, silver, buffalos, etc. He explained that he was more interested in half dollars and produced a proof half from his pocket. It was thrashed from being carried around with keys. I had all my NIFC's about $11 worth 2001-2010, 4 Ikes, a Susan B, and 3 proof halves in my car because I was thinking about dumping them. I grabbed them after separating what I told him what I was interested in and asked if I had anything he wanted. He said he'd be happy with a straight trade and I said deal.

Here's what I got.

Washingtons
1935, 1936, 2x1944, 1945, 2x1946, 1951

Buffalos
1935, 1937

War Nickels
1943-P, 2x1945-P

He was more interested in filling his Kennedy book than silver. Asked me to stop by when I found more halves I wanted to trade. HH!

One's man trash is another man's literal treasure! Great trade!

CHing Ching.. Sweet deal... Tell him you will check up every once in awhile and see if he wants to trade more.. Just go on ebay and buy a ton of NIFC for cheap.. LOL

Better yet, just ask him what he needs to fill his holes and start setting those aside. Then get him working on Ikes.

Clad lover's are easy to please!
