So I spend a week researching old maps and lidar images then the wife and I take off to put eyeballs on potential target sites I had identified. I miss a turn on the old forest roads so we stop by a small creek and clearing to get our bearings and decided to have lunch. My wife says, " I think I'll go over there and poke around while you're eating." I ask, "Why? You see something?" " No, but if I were looking to start a homestead I would like this spot." Three hours later I realize we ain't making it to my "hot spots" and I'm fine with that!

Yeah, from the looks of it we are less than half way through the first passes of the first half of the original property. Pretty large and possibly 1930ish or older maybe. One of the ammo rounds was only in production from 1884 - 1919. Two coins, 1946 nickel and a modern penny, hoping for some with more birthdays.
