At an older farm site. Very little as finds go. Well, can't say that I had filled two pockets with trash already. Then got a 56 VDI on the delta 4000. Dug 2" and out come a nickel. A buffalo nickel. My first to ever find. This one had a hole shot through it. Oh well we'll call it a ring.
Now I threw it down to double check the VDI. Yep, still hitting at 56.
Ahead four feet get another solid 56. Can't ignore this. Might be a good buffalo. Dig 3" not to scrape. But not in the plug. Probe a little deeper with a hit about an inch further. I reach down overturn a fat class ring. A little rub later revealed the 10 k mark and another first. Gold!! Yippeee!
