One of my favorite snap shots."look at the birdie"

Earlier phone shot out West in June. I didn't notice the surprise it hid until much later while deleting a few off my phone and noticed this pic had a little feathered streaker.

Nice! It took me a bit to see it. I was looking for something on the ground. Beautiful shot.

Pretty darn good picture for a phone camera. Is that in Utah? Looks like a pinion or juniper forest? Those are good areas to look for artifacts, as you could almost kill deer in that kind of country with a knife and I believe the Native Americans took a lot of game in that kind of terrain from very close distances in country like that and the evidence I find is small to medium-sized arrowheads in areas like that.

We had pulled off the interstate going west towards Sacramento and then North. Almost positive that is Utah, had looked at my info on that particular photo and my location must have been off at that time.
It was taken with a SS7.

Yes I like that a lot . I sometimes get a shot like that on one of my trail cams . I always feel that it adds some character to the picture

Awesome capture!...I think that's a better flying swallow picture than than I've ever got on purpose......I'm pretty sure this is the Ghost Rock turnout on I-70 a few miles west of Green River, UT.

As Ron said your going west on I70 about 30 miles west of Green River Utah, It's a pretty drive out there. The cliffs in the distance of you photos are called the Book Cliffs where Utah highway 6 runs up from I70 through Price Utah and up to Spanish Fork, South of Salt Lake City. I took this picture of the train just below those cliffs in the distance of your photos.

How'd that big Moho handle that climb up the hill you'd a had to go up about 30-35 minutes behind where you took this picture? I know I've seen a few heavy haulers really struggling to going up it many times going that way and you really gotta watch it if your flying along in a little car or truck coming up behind those slow moving trucks as some don't realize those things are dang near stopped on the road. Sad fact, but a few have lost their heads hitting the ass end of a tractor trailer at 70 mph going up steep hills like that. Could be getting even worse, now that people are texting while driving and not thinking what they see ahead of them, with just a few glances of looking at the phone and the road at the same time.

Wow! That is a great photo. You must have been down in the valley below. That is some awesome country out that way.

We don't have any issues with plenty of power to climb those mountains, or to descend those mountains. It has a 450 Cummins with a 3000 Allison trans double stage exhaust brake. A pleasure to drive. As you say some of the semis will be using their flashers and as we approach we just pass on the left with caution. No problem though.
